Bella Pirina is a paralegal at Stephen Wawn & Associates. She joined the firm in April 2025 and works mainly in probate and estate administration, conveyancing and estate planning, under the supervision of the firm’s principal, Adam Vainauskas.
I’m at the very start of my legal journey, so I bring a fresh, curious and enthusiastic approach to my work.
In probate and estate administration, Bella prepares probate applications and supporting affidavits and deals with asset holders on behalf of estates. She works with the Supreme Court of NSW, including its Probate Registry.
In conveyancing, once Adam has reviewed and negotiated the contract, Bella runs the matter from exchange through to settlement. She manages the PEXA workspace, prepares settlement adjustments and figures, orders certificates and drafts contracts, dealing with NSW Land Registry Services and Revenue NSW along the way.
In estate planning, Bella prepares draft wills, powers of attorney, enduring powers of attorney, appointments of enduring guardian, binding death benefit nominations and advance care directives for review. She also assists on commercial and personal loan matters and estate disputes.
Bella helps clients prepare for their meetings with the principal, so they come in ready to discuss the arrangements they want to put in place.
Bella enjoys estate planning and conveyancing because the work is personal: it helps clients feel safe and prepared for their future, and she can see the direct impact it has. She aims to be positive, attentive, efficient and helpful, and to respond to clients on the same day.
Bella is completing a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Technology Sydney, and her Practical Legal Training with the College of Law. She expects to finish both at the end of 2026 and to be admitted as a lawyer in February 2027.
Outside work, Bella enjoys tennis and padel.
